Corporate Ice driving experiences began 10 years ago when the Southern Hemisphere Proving Grounds decided to open its exclusively private facility for groups to come and experience the ultimate in ice driving experiences on its industry leading facilities. This where the automobile manufacturers come to secretly test their cars and was recently awarded "international proving ground of the year" verifying its status as a world leading testing ground.
During the driving day customers participate in one of the ultimate driving experiences on offer in the world. Driving luxury Audi cars in a pristine mountain environment, whilst receiving expert tuition from industry leading race car drivers and enjoying activities such as the giant slalom or snow drift circle – an unbelievable experience!
In 2013 SHPG (Southern Hemisphere Proving Grounds) purchased the existing Snow Park facilities which is located immediately beside SHPG and has converted it into one of the most spectacular ice drive locations in the world

SHPG Event Centre
It boasts an architecturally designed Event Centre which includes a restaurant, bar, reception area and conferencing facilities for 100+ people along with breathtaking scenery.
During the 2015 summer SHPG transformed this area to include a brand new snow and ice driving area nestled among the Southern Alps with an exciting event centre positioned across a unique footbridge adjacent to the ice driving areas.
SHPG now has one of the most unique ice driving and event locations in the world - this combined with award winning tourism destination Queenstown it really is a once in a lifetime "must do" activity whether its a corporate incentive, reward or just a group of friends.
We now have the ability to offer fully private and exclusive groups the chance to experience ice driving with the flexibility to build a corporate program around the facility and ice driving activities.
